Recycle Rebuild empowers communities to recycle waste into affordable, high-quality building materials, whilst providing an immediate source of income for those affected by natural disasters.
Recycle Rebuild was created by Rory Dickens (the founder of the Sustainable Design Studio) in 2018 after having traveled to 9 disaster zones and constantly seeing the same problem over and over again. Plastic Waste. Even though the plastic waste was causing a spike in mosquito-borne viruses after natural disasters no agency was dealing with it. That’s why Recycle Rebuild focuses on helping charities and social entrepreneurs set up for-profit businesses that pay the community to recycle waste into new valuable products.
Projects With Recycle Rebuild.
Project Dominica.
Dominica currently has a damaged waste management system, and currently, no functioning recycling centres on the island. Recycle Rebuild with the help of Rotary Club Grenada and Portsmouth, DM are changing that, one community at a time.
Empowerment Project.
Recycle Rebuild allocates the generous financial donations from our donors to be used to purchase the tools and equipment to bolster existing grassroots business and educational facilities around the world.
