Sustainable Design Studio has partnered with ChangeX to offer fixed-amount grants to fund impactful plastic recycling projects. Whether you're a school, social enterprise, community group, or entrepreneur, this grant could kickstart your recycling journey with:

  • UK: £20,000

  • Ireland: €18,000

  • Costa Rica: ₡7,500,000

  • Sweden: 260,000 kr

Multiple projects will be selected in each country. The deadline to apply is May 8th.

Who can Apply?

No experience? No problem.
No prior experience in recycling or manufacturing is required—our team is here to support you at every step.

    Starting a sustainable business or launching your first recycled product? We’ll help you build your tools, develop your moulds, and scale your idea with grant-backed support.

    If your mission is built around social impact and sustainability, this grant can help fund the tools and training you need to take action and create real change.

What makes for a successful application?

  • A great way to get your application noticed is to outline what it is that you want to achieve. Wether it’s amount of students educated, plastic recycled or money made be sure to highlight the unique impact you want to make.

  • By using our Workspace Setups & Budgets resource, identify the machines that you will purchase with your grant.

  • Applications will likely be confirmed by the end of August 2025. With grants being paid out in September-October.

  • Projects need to be set up and progress reported back to ChangeX within a 6 month period.

  • No, the grants are fixed amounts. However, we are confident that when adding extra tools, moulds and equipment,t you can easily reach the grant value and create a sustainable recycling space.
